Karl-Heinz
Kristen was born in Vienna. He went to
medical school of Vienna. He finished the
orthopaedic education at the orthopaedic
department Otto Wagner hospital, Prof.
Wolfgang Schwägerl. He finished the
education in orthopaedic sports medicine
at the orthopaedic department Danube hospital,
Prof. Alfred Engel. Dr. Kristen was head
of the Foot and ankle, the knee and the
rehabilitation department.

Orthopaedic surgical experience

Dr.
Kristen has the experience of more than 8000
surgical interventions. He is actually performing
about 400 surgical interventions per year,
consisting of 40% forefoot and Hallux surgery,
10% reconstructive surgeries of the foot
and ankle and 40% arthroscopic surgeries
of the ankle and knee joint.
